Liquid Riot Bottling Company has been making rum in Portland, Maine since 2013. These are the rums they’re currently producing:
Dow’s Demise Dark Rum, a hybrid pot/column-distilled, blackstrap molasses- and evaporated cane juice-based rum that’s aged 17 months in used bourbon barrels. Bottled at 90 proof.
Portland Rum Riot Rum, a hybrid pot/column-distilled, molasses-based rum that’s aged for over a year in used barrels from Maine Craft Distilling and New England distilling. This rum is a collaboration that combines recipes from all three distilleries. It’s released once a year and bottled at 90 proof.
