Backwards Distilling Company has been making rum in Mills, Wisconsin since 2010. These are the rums they’re currently producing:
Sword Swallower Rum, a hybrid pot/column-distilled, evaporated cane juice-based rum that’s finished in used tequila barrels for around a month before it’s bottled at 80 proof.
Sword Swallower Amber Rum, a hybrid pot/column-distilled, molasses-based rum that’s aged for over two years in new American white oak barrels and then finished in used bourbon barrels. Bottled at 80 proof.
