Cannon Beach Distillery
Cannon Beach Distillery has been making rum in Cannon Beach, Oregon since 2012. These are the rums they’re currently producing:
Dorymen’s Rum, a hybrid pot/column-distilled, evaporated cane juice-based rum that’s bottled unaged at 80 proof. No sweeteners, flavors, or caramel color added, and no chill filtering.
Donlon Shanks Amber Rum, a hybrid/pot column-distilled, blackstrap molasses-based rum that’s aged in 10-gallon new charred (#4) American white oak barrels for one year before it’s bottled at 80 proof. No sweeteners, flavors, or caramel color added, and no chill filtering.
Mutineer Spiced Rum, a version of the base used in their Dorymen’s Rum with botanicals incorporated during the distillation (including sarsaparilla, birch, spearmint, orange peel, licorice root, and clove). After distillation, the rum is rested on sassafras sticks for one month. It’s bottled at 84 proof, with no artificial flavors, color, or sweeteners added.
