Dogfish Head Distilling Company has been making rum in Rehoboth Beach and Milton, Delaware since 2002. These are the rums they’re currently producing:
Dogfish Head Mixing Rum, a double pot-distilled, Grade A molasses-based rum that’s fermented with their proprietary “Doggie” yeast. Bottled unaged at 80 proof.
Dogfish Head Barrel Honey Flavored Rum, a double pot-distilled, Grade A molasses-based rum that’s diluted to about 110 proof before aging in new char #3 American white oak barrels for a little over a year. After aging, they dilute the rum to 80 proof and add local honey before bottling. This is an evolved version of their original Brown Honey Rum.
